Do you trust free hosting provider?

No, and you should not either. Your data will be secure and protected on free hosting.

A lot of free hosting is offered in the same way you get free TV on commercial channels. You agree to have adverts on your websites and or links to your WebHost (look at Wix, they will give you free hosting, but a link to them remains on your pages) or I have seen Free host giving you free hosting, but you have to purchase the domain from them along with SSL cert (both at a higher than normal price), but with a free host you have no security in respect that they could just close down the server and you have lost all your files.Do you think someone hires a Reseller Hosting Service to give you something for free? It is unthinkable for me to have such a "service." These almost without exception end in disappointment.
You are aware these lists mean nothing as it's just an advertising platform, the more money a company is willing to pay the higher up the list they are placed, this is how it's always the same large companies in the top 5.You know one that's always on the top five or ten list.
I offer free hosting to potential clients, so they can try out my services and give feedback.@easyhostmedia said:
As they say ' You get what you paid for'.
with free hosts, you have no comeback.
1) They will allow anyone to host with them (hackers/spammers etc.)
2) As its free they will not have any paid security features on their servers.
3) They could just close down the server without warning and you lose everything.
Basically, you are describing a trial account that is different from free hosting.I offer free hosting to potential clients, so they can try out my services and give feedback.
The free accounts will have limitations, like bandwidth, disk space and potentially demo mode would be enabled depending on who's requesting the free account, etc (You can still edit your site within the sitepad dashboard you just can't upload or edit the code manually )
Even though its a free account you get all the same features as if you were paying for it, Security software the lot. The only reason we would suspend or terminate the account would be if the powered by watermark was removed from there website or some other breach of our terms and conditions and in that case we would send the client a full copy of the website from the date of termination.
So I would only trust it as far as testing the waters, I wouldn't recommend clients setting up there whole business from a free account as yes that could be disastrous. But I thing every provider is different on how they provide free services to there existing or new clients.
I remember when i was like 18 years old i had my first blog on geocities
I do think the web was a better place back then. Not in speed but in less spam or maybe the spam was right in front of us hahaGeocities was huge back in the day, I think I read somewhere that when Yahoo bought it was the third most visited web property in the world.
Also interesting that Japan (where people still use fax machines) Geocities only actually shut down a couple of years ago.
