That's exactly as it should be > satisfied customers recommending your products and services. That's a win win scenario for everyone.A good many of our customers come from word of mouth. So we must be doing something right.
how do you manage to reseller hosting when there's so much competition out there..?
Based in my experience, forum ads and social media are a good way to focus when it comes to selling online.
Most anyone can go online and start a web hosting company because it has become so easy to do so with the cost of servers having gone down in price and other options available to us.
I agree, just need to look on eBay and you see many unlimited everything reseller plans $2 to $5 a year, these may sell, but wont give any support or the host has no value to their service or time, so when anything goes wrong they just pack up and do a runner. You will see these increase when school summer holidays start and then decrease when the holidays are over.
They simply buy a master reseller plan and then list on eBay having no idea what they are doing
i already know this, but thank you for reminding itLocal advertising and word of mouth is the best way. After you gain 100 or so clients, with good service, you can get them to refer you to friends .
Also, have a subscription list so you can post them fresh new offers to remind them of your web host ! It helps a lot ( But not too often or they would get mad )
Think about it more broadly. A lot of people today require web hosting and they are all around you. Before anything else, pick a target market, a segment, then find ways to reach them. There is a variety of media outlets: from print to online, from local businesses to specialty professional events.
To expand on this, a bit of advice we give to our partners: specialise!
If you can offer a something to a niche market, you can use very precise targeting and make use of the data that companies like F***book hold.
For example, you could target photographers (or even more specific, such as wildlife photographers in your local area), and make your ads very photography-focused and word your landing page as "web hosting for photographers".
That way, you can get higher click-through rates at lower prices - increasing your ROI.
