There are many web hosting providers offer WordPress hosting solutions. I would like to mention some of the reputed WordPress hosting providers are: Bluehost, Hostgator, Milesweb, InMotion hosting.

I'm curious what sets them apart from other providers?

100% WRONG

wordpress hosting just means the hosting is for WP only and the host will make sure WP is installed for you, but it is ALWAYS the end users responsibility to make sure you upgrade to the latest version and update any patches issued by WP.
The easy solution is to click on automatically update themes and plugins while you're installing WordPress.

So I Can Suggest You Shared SSD Hosting with 1GBPS Port Speed

As per previous post replies wordpress hosting some disadvantages i don't want to repeat them. So i can suggest you Shared SSD Hosting with 1GBPS Port Speed instead of wordpress hosting. SSD Hosting helps to also use more cpu memory usage as comapre os normal shared hosting. In Comparison if you choose ssd hosting so you an install all other app like joomla, magento, wiki, forum etc.

Note: Before purchasing discuss with sales team of ssd hosting provider for CPU and Memory Usage.

If you want to host very large wordpress website so go for Managed Wordpress Hosting, If your site is basic to medium level databases so you can also go SSD Hosting with 1 GBPS Port Speed, If your website website simple and basic level blog type so you can also go for Shared Hosting.

Hosted wordpress website performance given flow chart...
Managed Wordpress Hosting > SSD Hosting > Shared Hosting.

Now Choice Is Yours

Better serach for Shared Hosting, instead of WordPress hosting. If you change your mind after that, you will not be able to change your WordPress to some other (for example Joomla). There have no panel such as cPanel, and you cannot create email accounts there. Think about that.
