Why hosters are turning to paypal?

Actually I use paypal and other payment systems. Paypal has been very successful for me but like any online payment system it does not gaurantee it will always work for everyone.

Paypal and others can't check for fraud.

I see why his account is currently disabled, I'm not sure if he was doing drugs or something at the time of this post.

Although you mention that there are problems with PayPal refund policy, it is very popular service and used by many people that is why many hostings trying to serve their clients good service and to attract new clients strive to use this kind payment services.

Just yesterday, I got a letter from my bank about a mandatory PCI compliance procedure that would take effect next month (for my Salon). With Standard PayPal, you don't have to worry about this - which is probably a contributing factor to its popularity.

In my country, paypal is not accepted. So i face problems to buy the packages from good website hosts. I have options to transfer through moneybookers.

We try and use more then one option, rather then just using paypal we use google check out as well and soon to add a regular CC processor in the mix just to let our clients choose what they want to use.

It is the mosted used but there is very little protection they can provide to someone abusing the "Did you give permission for this payment" at the end of the month you say no... you get months free and money back and paypals response to this is. The payment was not secure.

Your question in your mind is. Is paypal so much of a insecure payment gateway that they need to verify there payment proccess. with each client.

Transfers should be done in a verficiation matter. If Payment is not 100% legit then more security measures.

It is easily exploited.

Alertpay has recently taken my interest. need to look in to alot more though.

We love paypal.

That said, we do not accept checks or unverified accounts. We rarely lose chargebacks (usually only if the payment was not a payPal instant payment but processed by PayPal from someones CC) and in many cases gives us another data point to provide to our order verification process.

I personally love PayPal. I have been using it as an alternative to Authorize and whatnot. Turns out, if you call the, you can get a business account for free and it is activated instantly. Also, with Website Payments Standard, you can accept credit cards and the customer doesn't even need to have a PayPal account.

PayPal is the faster, safer way to pay and get paid online. It allows members to send money without sharing financial information. It has 87 million users across the globe.

Safer way to pay, but as a seller, you are open to disputes and you will almost always lose if you dont have a tracking number, ie services, hosting, design, etc.

Paypal can be great in many aspects but, people must always pay close attention to terms, conditions, and the fine print. Paypal is not a perfect fit for everyone but, it has worked very well for me.

I use paypal because of the good API my service is able to setup the webspace instantly after the payment. So I can save a lot of time.

its all because it is popular
I like it because it has turned into the standard for small businesses. Even though some larger businesses use it, when a small business uses it it is not looked down on. Most everyone has dealt with paypal at one time or another and are comfortable with it.
