I love LiquidWeb. I am using their subsidiary, Storm on Demand, which does virtual cloud servers, but LiquidWeb also does physical servers, VPSs, and shared hosting last I checked. I've never used their shared hosting, but their technical support has been excellent in the two years that I've used them.

Personal opinion:
There is no such thing as best web hosting company.
However, some are better than others. It's all subjective and depends of customers needs, location and so on...

I like Hetzner. It's a big company which provides good services, but still.. there was an incident when I had a problem and got answer from them only after 2 days.

I think the best comes down to the practices each company might have going for them. I have read many bad reviews over customer service for others, this is why we strive to put that first before all else. If the customer is not happy with how we treat them, they will go to another place. Many rely on canned messages but unless you have that personal touch you are no better than others, do not treat them like a number, treat them like a person.

a majority of hosts will use canned massages rather than answer the same question over and over again.

We have a selction of canned messages set up in our live chat and support system, so we can if needed just click on one of these and sent to client/prospective client knowing that if some else asks the same question they get the same reply. you will get some prospective client contact you several ways with same question to cvatch you out, so canned messages are ideal as each time they get the same answer
