WHMAutopilot v3. What your thoughts?

CE is good, Modernbill is good but i don't like WHMAP ... CE is easy to use and costumize .... all in your hand Good luck!

Funnily enough V3 has been released. I instantly installed it, of course in a separate folder, had some initial problems, which was actually my fault, so I ended up having to re-upload it (you need 2 separate folders, one for admin, one for client) it wasn't clearly explained..
Well there's a new thing called profile, you add products to a profile, and it goes under a category. Profiles are for different currencies I believe...

Well, it's a lot harder to do things, it's got a lot of eye-candy, I prefer V2 to V3, maybe because I'm more used to V2, but when I make the switch to V3, I may like my decision.

My rating for V3 4/10 on easiness, 8/10 for features.

The new version isn't actually too bad. It is pretty basic, in functionality and is missing several important features... but should be sufficient for most smaller (new) web hosting companies.

For the price, it's pretty good.

I think a big problem is that they have no published any documentation for their "API" and so there is no way for anyone to develop any additional functionality for it or improve existing functions.

For example, there is no domain registration/management capability.. which is something someone could easily develop as a 3rd party module. But that's impossible until the company finally actually publishes the documentation for it.

At the moment, I think the company behind WHMAutopilot is run more like a hobby software project, then a real company.. but I think he's trying to change that. It'll be a while, however, before WHM AP v3 is able to compete with either ubersmith or ModernBill.

I consider AutoPilot to be competition for lpanel.com, whoiscart, and the other billing systems of that nature. (Designed and marketed for budget hosts who are just starting out.)

I dont personally like WHM AP or ModernBill, and have tried them both. I have been an Ubersmith leased hosted licence holder for months, but this download version looks amazing. Ubersmith will become VERY popular over the next few months, you wait and see :santa:

Not until it has a domain registration integration module, I don't think it will.

Once they add such a critical feature and it fully integrates... then I think it will take off. Until then, every hosting account needs a domain.. and it's silly to force users to go elsewhere for their domain needs.

Just my opinion. :)

But yes, I do think their system is well-designed and is quite nice. Just needs that one component to make it full-featured.

Well.. that, and the ability to handle taxes for non-US companies. :rolleyes2

Yeh i have to agree its missing a few features, and most of the missing features are very important for hosting companies, hopefully the features will be added soon though.

I just like it because of its current features, sleak interface and support staff that actually reply to you *cough* lp@nel *cough*.

I have no intensions on upgrading to v3 when it comes out. Ill wait atleast 3-6 months (provided they continue poping up 2.x.x)
good to see you on the message boards

Actually version 3.2 and higher autopilot will give much more ability especially for dedicated server configuration setups.

Just letting you know
