Hey friends,

How is your day today?

Have a confusion here:when you purchase online what kind of payment method do you prefer?Paypal or credit card? And why?

Thanks for your sharing!

It would totally depend on who and what I am buying. When it comes to web hosting, then I feel more protected with a credit card.

PayPal would prevail on Ebay for me, maybe a few other services, but generally speaking, credit card is preferred.

For me it's a matter of what I'm buying also. If it's business related I use PayPal where possible.

A credit card does have the best buyer protection although I've never had to dispute a payment in my life luckly. On the flip side I've experience my fare share of charegbacks as a seller.

For me / if it is monthly services I will use a charge card / and then if it is consumer good / I will bounce between them both credit card or paypal, I use paypal when I do not have my charge card handy and use paypal to pay people or send a invoice to someone....

I feel secure with both but for sure it is use case and if not just either one which ever I feel like using at the time / sometime the balance on my card will push me to use PayPal...

Cheers,

Dave

For my self i prefer PayPal and i think PayPal is safer for me. PayPal is easy to use and if you need to dispute it you can get it resolved fast. Its really your choice because both methods are safe if you know what your buying.

It depends on the kind of products you are purchasing. For PayPal, the advantage is that there is a buyer protection feature which allows you to request for a refund within a stipulated period of time if you did not receive the product/service. However, the servicing fees/charges can be quite high, especially when you purchase in foreign currency.

I like PayPal because I don't always have my credit card with me and don't have the number memorized. I always have access to PayPal.

Both. But if you are a business owner, you should be supporting both. Paypal has a 'Virtual Terminal' where you can charge credit cards as well. $30/month.

I listed my personal preference previously, but if you are asking about which options to offer, I would suggest both. As convenient as it is to use Paypal Pro for CC's if you already have Paypal, which I have no issues with and like, I would also look into adding a secondary CC processor if your business grows and you have a global audience as you will find that Paypal CC processing will decline some cards that another gateway may accept, and vice versa.

Totally agree, paypal is faster in resolving dispute.

I prefer Credit Card, even though I've had excellent service from PayPal.

Well ,sometimes I get into trouble when make payment through credit card, such as a "high-risk-transaction" failure ,really annoying...

I know there are fees when use paypal .but as a payer there isn't any fees at all,the seller has to bear.Right?

Yes,this sounds not bad.

Agree with all the folks. Both are similarly great. You can likewise add a credit card to your PayPal account and make the payment.

I have always used Paypal. But recently I put in a claim that seemed to me to be a slam-dunk. Yet I lost. This has left a sour taste in my mouth.
I may have to re-think this.
