which OS to choose

What kind of OS knowledge do you have? is it more Windows or Linux?

I would agree with the person above but add cpanel on your server it makes the job 10 times easier for you.

If you're running ASP or .NET you'll need a Windows platform.

At the first this man should define his needs as was mentioned. because If he wants to develop his web-site by ASP.. then only Windows with IIS and Plesk as control panel.
