Which forum script ??

If I were looking into purchasing a forum script, I would go with VBulettin for sure! But, if I were looking for a free forum I would go with SMF. It has better features, more flexible, more secure, and is better organized then the alternatives.

I've been using PunBB lately and it's quite good.

It's fast, secure and causes very low load to the server.

Phpbb beats punbb even if i am not a phpbb fan.

That's ok, it's your opinion. I'm really happy with PunBB, even over phpBB. As I said, it's fast and secure, much more than phpBB.

Perhaps phpBB has much more functionalities but PunBB does its job in a much simpler and more effective way.

I personally like IPB because it's the forum I've been using the longest and it's the only one I know how to make themes and stuff for since I haven't highly used other forums. I have used phpBB and vBulliten. Both very nice forum scripts.

MY favorite is SMF because it had lots of plugins and hacks and huge numbers of peopel keep designing themes for it everyday.
