which control panel you using?

Add one more for cPanel..
I only have experience with one other CP, Plesk, it's a good interface, but when I went to their support forum ... it had nothing compared to cPanel so I ended up finding my own answers.

Support is so important .... even with web host users. The cPanel forum is full of problems .......... hehe ..... and answers. We don't have a large enough business to worry about having to offer other CP's to our members, so for now it's cPanel. I'm hoping that will change :)

We use cPanel as its easy to use and our customers love it. We can also provide Plesk, DirectAdmin and Host In A Box.

I use all of them just about

My own server has cpanel but I have Plesk on both Windows and Linux for hosting, cpanel for hosting, lxadmin for hosting, servercp, directadmin as well

LXAdmin is a very nice panel, user friendly and gives you alot of control features over account

Cpanel has become very buggy since new release so in my opinion barely worth the money of licensing any more, but is still most popular among clients cause is what they know

Plesk is decent all around

Direct Admin is kind of limited but a nice panel anyway

ServerCP is nice cheap panel, only thing I dont like about it is is a nightmare to add modrewrite into the config without breaking theor DSM system

we use cpanel, but we are considering to start also using Direct Admin to reduce the costs of hosting to our customers.

We use Helm 4.

Why we use Helm 4?

1) Firstly it allows you to develop your own modules and language packs unlike most control panels.
2) Secondly because of the unbeatable pricing in comparison with other contorl panels
3) Thirdly because it has an inbuilt billing system
4) Fourthly because of the automation of the control panel unlike other control panels
5) It is one of the only Carbon neutral control panel
6) We have many other reasons we are using Helm, most of them can be found in their website: http://www.webhostautomation.com

Can you all tell me what control panel you are using and reason of using it?

1. cPanel
2. xPanel
3. LayeredPanel
4. Ensim
5. Others

I am using Hosting Controller panel since 2003 with which I am very confortable. I was running Helm too but my end users demand for HC panel because they think that their interface is very user friendly and quite easy to use it.

Personally I like it because they provide support on Live chat which I guess no other panel do :) ... because of this I get instantly advise for various issues.

cPanel is great if you can afford it, but Direct Admin works just as great but cost 4 times cheaper.

In my experience, the choice of control panel really depends on the client itself.

It's unfortunate that you can develop the best control panel, but people will most likely still prefer cPanel over your wonderful application.

People don't usually like change, and they prefer to be able to transfer things over easily.

I personally suggest cPanel, however Plesk is a great example of a more corporate/professional type of web hosting control panel system.

Goes to show what a powerful thing a brand can be. :)

Unfortunatly a brand is very powerful, but in defence of cPanel they DO offer a lot of features and together with rvskin its just great. The price isn't to bad either IF you can get a good deal through your datacenter.

Largest drawback of cPanel is that it is not realy made for scaling everything runs on the same machine, clustering is not done (except for DNS).
