When Looking For A Web Hosting Provider

I agree with the point of having to choose the hosting type, but for a newcomer this may not always be simply.

I guess this is why scalable solutions are becoming more and more popular: who can really guess his exact needs before he purchases hosting?

So many times people are sold on a product that is way above their needs. I have seen it time and time again, people that come in with little to no knowledge are taken for a ride, generally small business. I agree with many of the posts here, please do your research, what is the perfect fit for one may not be the case for the other.

Reviews are good but can also be misleading, in both directions they can be skewed by one event that triggered a lot of good/bad reviews.

A money back guarentee is good but you still want to be pretty sure who you are going with, nobody wants to go bouncing from one host to the next, moving sites along the way.

Research Research Research.... and to get an idea of response times rather than e-mailing the sales department, try the billing or tech support, that might give you a better indication of how quickly to expect a response.

Just a thought.

Thanks,

Stewart

When looking for a web hosting provider

Hi,
Hi,

The information mentioned in this tickets adds value to the prospective clients who are planning to acquire the services from web hosts but I would like to add further in a brief.

Not only the Google search will give you the right information but there are also many ways which can help customers to gain benefits from them. For instance: A specific web host goodwill can be judged on different forums that is how positive responses are being made to such particular web hosts and also people to be contacted who has already experienced services from the web hosts. In this way, a client may quite be clear from the pros and cons of web hosting so he or she will avoid to reiterate those mistakes that people have already faced.
