What's Your Take On Country Specific Extensions

I think getting both extensions is best although I don't know if it's THAT necessary. Is your website written in English or another language? Would you be willing to have an English version and a foreign version?

Country specific extensions are good to target if your are
going to target local audience and don't forget to list your business in google local listings if you have a physical address.

It will give you great results coz your website will rank higher in search engine results.

I think Country Specific Extensions are catching on.

Using the TLD extension to make a word is pretty neat. Although isn't that against Terms of Use? And for most Country Specific Extensions, I believe (I could be wrong) you need a physical address within that country for Whois.

For business, I'd stick with the .com
For a hobby website, country specific would be pretty neat.

Yes this is true, but still does not stop you registering one. I am in the UK and can register a .us domain, even though for a ,us domain you must have a registered US address.
