What Kind Of Servers You Have For Reselling?

Start with a managed vps and while you get more users upgrade to a more powerful one then when you cant upgrade anymore buy a really powerful dedicated server.

Dedicated Servers are lot more advantageous than the VPS and can give you the control for administrating all your websites hosted on it, I guess it will be the best option for you.

Not entirely true, there are a number of reasons/situations in which a VPS could be more ideal for someone than a dedicated server

I don't suggest a dedicated server - you will need redundancy like RAID and dual power supply to make sure your customers websites are in a safe place, this will cost you at least $300 per month.

I suggest a good VPS with redundancy and enough RAM, so you can have full access and can configured it the way you like, this may cost you $60 per month.

If you can't afford the VPS then your last choice is the reseller account.

if have no experience at all, start from a reseller hosting.
if have some experience but no money, start from VPS, and when have enough money, then immediately buy a dedicated server when get enough money b4 u stuff too much client in the VPS

IMO, Make the plan and start with the assumption. You must have an expectation of number of clients. That should measure whether you need a vps or dedicated. Try to bias the marketing to a dedicated as much as possible so that you don't need to go for a migration in future other than just hardware upgrade.

I started off a Master Reseller and now I offer resellers from a Intel Core2Duo E8200 2gb DDR2 250gb SATA2 2000gbv in limestonenetworks data center.

Wow, there are many ideas which I think are all good but I'm not sure which is the best. I had been looking around for a VPS, Dedicated, and Reseller packages since I posted this topic.

VPS are really good to start but it cannot do the capabilities of a dedicated server. It will also have limited resources when my planned business will grow.

Dedicated on the other hand is very expensive for me that I would be losing money instead of earning if I start my business with this kind of server.

I have placed reseller packages on top of my list now because I can concentrate on the advertising part of my business.

I will update you guys when I finally opened up my business. I'm still on the process of accumulating money and I hope by the middle of this year that I can make my business up and running.

Thanks for all the suggestions, recommendations, and comments given.

i would recommend starting out with a vps/reseller becuase this way you dont spend so much on your hosting bills, this way the money you dont spend on server costs, you can spend trying to get new clients,

this is just me and other people might think diffrently about it...

its something you should think hard about before starting up.

Starting out a reseller hosting plan would be a wise decision if you are unsure about the client base you can build initially. Start small, build your client base gradually and then upgrade as you grow.

When I started with a reseller I learned so much from others and from my mistakes I couldn't even imagine how difficult it would have been if I had a dedicated.

No, i do not use VPS for hosting services, becuase my vps server was corrupted 3 times from deferent provider, some say vps are for experimental purposes only.

It seems that you will manage the technical issues as you are already considering to go for VPS or dedicated server. I think it is better to start with VPS and then you can upgrade to dedicated server.

I would start on a VPS, and then when your business grows you can first grow your VPS and then move from there to a dedicated server. But if your budget allows, by all means go for a dedicated server.

Hello,

You might resell from VPS or dedicated account, but this method means creating Fantastico to join the space into single accounts and giving support to your clients, as generally VPS plans even if they are managed support only you and not your clients.
Dedicated reselling is also high-quality, it gives you a feel of operating a web hosting company without spending money on servers.

When I first started with my vps , it was not so great experience because loads were higher than usual at few occasions. My personal opinion and suggestion is to start with a midsize server where you will have more of estability in the performance of the server. I've noticed my vps began having severe problems with apache, and so forth. Other reason to choose a server than a vps is that when you purchase a server, generally the data centers offer you a source of support and protection as part the service, example cisco guard.
