What I usually do is setup a SPAM catcher before getting the emails delivered or PIPED to my ticketing system. That is a lot better than putting it directly to the ticketing system.
Most of the time SPAM will be detected before it reaches my ticketing system. Also if you have WHMCS, you can also set the SPAM control there as well.
So with both this ways, there's quite a lot of spam which gets taken away. Most of the tickets that come in to us are usually legitimate tickets.
