What control panel is your fav?
Why is it your fav?
have you used many others?
If you dont use a control panel, why not?
What do you not like about the other panels and is there anything you dont like about your fav panel?

cPanel is deffinatly my favorite, although direct admin is really nice as well. The reason I like cPanel is probably because it was the first control panel I ever used and it just grew on to me.. I find it really easy to use as well as easy to find what you are looking for.

I've used all of the above and have used webmin as well.. but I still prefer cPanel over everything.

Ensim is alright, but I find it rather confusing myself.. When you sell hosting, alot of times you get newbies and I find that cPanel is one of the most user friendly control panels as well.

Have to agree with you that newbies find cPanel a lot easier than any others I have used, well in my experience anyway.

I like cPanel a lot because of the GUI, simplicity of use and it has everything I need from a control panel.
I dont like ensim at all...I used it for about 5 months and had a lot of problems with it and the layout wasnt as nice as cPanel.

The only other I have used is plesk which I thought was very simple, it seemed good if you didnt need too many features but there were a few things I wanted that werent available from it so I only used that for about a month, thought maybe it would grow on me but it didnt...

Yeah cPanel has the nicest interface as well as has ALOT of features, I can't ever saying "oh I wish cPanel had....." it has everything I've ever needed :)

Short, sweet and so true.. no more needs to be said.

My company used Ensim and plesk prior to ensim pro coming about. We were happy with the results even though both control panels were a bit picky (no subdomain creation on a user's end in ensim, etc) and had to be modified extensively to make it the way we liked it. After ensim pro came out, we didn't really want to invest the money on the licenses, so we decided to give cpanel a shot. After about a month we ended up switching all of our servers over to cpanel. It allows you to do more via GUI in WHM and it allows the end user more flexibility and options. Things you used to have to do FOR the customer, they can do themselves easily with cpanel. I used to always have SSH opened for multiple servers so I could do basic things, now I don't have to as much, as it is all in the GUI.

oh and I forgot to mention the fact that cpanel will update rpms and programs on the server for you and will also update itself via the GUI. ever try and upgrade ensim back in the early days? eeek

Wow seems like cPanel is the biggest hit for everyone so far.
I thought there would be a few saying ensim or plesk by now but guess cPanel is more popular than i thought :)

I have heard about DirectAdmin but havent considered using it till now...I am happy with cPanel...but in the future I will definitely consider using them :)

Seems like everyone likes cPanel. I just wish it would add more forum scripts. Currently they only have phpBB and IB. Also some more Portals would also be nice.

Sorry to be different, but we use HSphere and swear by it.

Secure, integrates account management with billing, amazing support, easy to backup and recover, etc...

Just my $0.02

I use cpanel since most nocs tend to have it these days. It is relatively cheap and easy for my end users to use. Very much like Windows GUI.

I would like to look into getting HSphere like Andrew stated he had. But its still quite expensive and I would like to get some experience with it prior to me purchasing.

well, for me , i like to try all control panel put there, i tried Cpanel ( the most ) , ensim, ensim pro, plesk, H*sphere and direct admin.. and i like em all .

All I have ever used it cpanel and that is what I offer my customers because 9 times out of 10 that is all they have ever used and I don't want the extra headache of teaching customers a new cpanel. I do love those skins out there though, maybe that could be the next poll, Do you skin your cpanel? Freckled
