What are three major criteria you use to decide upon a host?

I think I provide most of these to all my clients. But I cant provide 24 hours customer service. Our hosting has produced 100 percent uptime and we are really proud of that.

If I were to choose an hosting account, I would first ask for uptime and proper customer service. In early days, My account was dropped before even my account was expired because I cancelled subscription to that company in my paypal account. Things like this should never happen.

24/7 support. Just need email support, if the support is true 24/7.

Uptime.

Price. Wont mind paying a bit more if 1 and 2 are 100% true.

Security, reliability, uptime, support

I don't have the need for 24/7 support because i will only submit support tickets if there is an error with a service that i cannot fix myself.

More than the reviews and testimonials, one should verify the longevity of the hosting company, go through its legal status and test the support level.

I think for, it would be uptime, reliability and experience.

Uptime will reflect in Reliability so really you can merge that into one.

1. Reliability
2. Established Business (Not by it's running years but it's site, contact options, support, forums) and other hammers and nails.
3. Specifications & Cost.
