What are the alternative to HyperVM?

Virtuozzo is based on OpenVZ, it is not an apart virtualization technology. There are only Xen, OpenVZ and HyperVM. Virtuozzo, VDSmanager use this technologies for Linux and Win. VDSmanager use also own FreeBSD virtualization technology.

There are many alternatives to HyperVM. The most popular and useful are SolusVM, VDSmanager and Virtuozzo.

What we've been doing is quite simple. Find a opensource vps software...then modify it until it meets/exceeds our expectations/wants out of it.

We migrated straight from hypervm to VDSmanager and love it. It has a customer portal so they can log in and reload there vm's, reboot, view network graphs ect. It has central management of multiple servers. It also seems to be updated frequently and I have never had problems getting support.

Xen gets our vote. It's much more secure and stable for a business environment, it's not as vulnerable as other platforms (HyperVM, Virtuozzo, etc)

VePortal. Its better just to use hypervm + xen and use a whmcs module that acts like hypervm for security easons.
