[Warning] 123-Reg - you can be ripped off!!!!!

Hi all,

Just want to warn you about 123-Reg (www.123-reg.co.uk) services as you can be ripped off by paying invoices/renewals earlier.

My story:
I have transferred the .co.uk domain name to 123-Reg in 2006, but the renewal date is XX-Jan-2007, I normally pay invoices in advance to avoid the issues with expiry and I don't want to lose the domain names.

The .co.uk domain names minimum is renewed for 2 Years!

XX-Jan-2007 + 2 Years = XX-Jan-2009
XX-Jan-2009 + 2 Years = XX-Jan-2011
XX-Jan-2011 + 2 Years = XX-Jan-2013
next should be
XX-Jan-2013 + 2 Years = XX-Jan-2015

Yesterday, I though to renew domain name well in advance, but their system renewed for 1 year only (even I paid for 2 years).
As their support is not opened on Sunday, not 24/7, it's only Mon - Fri between 09:00 - 17:00 (don't bother to contact 16:30, as it's all closed) and I contacted today and discovered a new 123-Reg maths:

XX-Jan-2013 + 2 Years = XX-Jan-2014

and not:

XX-Jan-2013 + 2 Years = XX-Jan-2015

as accounting to operator they are looking on the invoice payment date, as I paid previous invoice on 2010-11-25 and according to operator my domain name should expire in XX-Jan-2012 but it's not, as the payment date is different to expire date of domain name.

The operator can't provide his manager phone number, the support available on chat only, after wasting 30 minutes of my time I managed to point out to all facts and correct the date of whois.

For above reason and awful support I recommend stay away from 123-Reg or don't pay invoices in advance as you will be penalize for it!!!!!!

I think it's their new managers special: Pay for 2 years and get 1 year of service only :D:D:D
