Very urgent, webhosting dilemma

Paid providers can guarantee that your site is up and running all the time.

Well said. Paid hosting can offer good quality support probably 24x7.They can help you to tackle problems related to your hosting accounts, whereas with a Free hosting provider, I don't think that you'd get the same service. After all one must understand that its no social service, its business. You must check for hosts that provide good value for money.

This question has been floating the Internet for a long time now. All the previous posters have said it best. You get what you paid for.

Paid web hosting services provide you with after sales customer support. And just like what previous posts states, you are guaranteed at least the peace of mind that your website stays up as long as you continue with your subscription.

Free hosting is great if you're new to site building and need a sandbox. :agree: If you're dedicated to your project and want to be free of restrictions and tight limits on resources, you're probably better off finding a quality paid host now.

But that is a risk to start your own web site with free web hosting because one day you wake up and realize that your site is gone and you can nothing to do about it :smash:

Just had a meeting with a prospect where her daughter posted a website on a free site for their new business. This works if you want something very temporary until you can put a professional look to your business.

Yes you will want to avoid free hosting sites. Reason being, free hosting sites sometimes attract illegal spam, poker sites which end up getting blocked by many providers. Most pay for host companies, work hard to prevent any sort of sites on their servers.

Besides all the negative issues that we saw on free web hosting plans, you will also lack of control over your hosting accounts, maybe come with very low disk space, bandwidth, no database and clients supports.
Free hosting plan are suitable for you to test out your web applications / host your very basic website.
It is better you go for a paid web hosting providers because every penny you spend will receive good features and support from them as well. :)

With free web hosting you can not get guaratee, they usually limit your accounts. If you are going on business I recommend pai web hosting.

Your site should be fine as far as search engines are concerned however for a professional business web site I would recommend paid hosting right away. Free hosting is good for personal or hobby websites or an interim arrangement until you upgrade to paid hosting.
