Okay... I am surprised to see that there's not a whole lot of mention of these two companies... perhaps my research was incorrect...

I am familiar with building a site, but new to selecting a web hosting company....

I narrowed down my research to these two company

ValueWeb (pc magazine, editor choice) merchant hosting plan

Interland (public traded company) b300 plan

I need your help.... if you have experience with these two company, which one is better?

Uptime, Bandwidth, Email funtion are extreamly important to me...

or if you recommend a different company.... please let me know...

purpose of my site is to sell merchandise.. shopping cart, catalog, etc...

appreciated....

Devil and Satan.

Interland is bad...prett bad. do a search on WHT and you get almost all bad threads. Valueweb is a mixed bag...but largely negative.

If you have the interland/valueweb kind of budget, go with venturesonline.com futurequest.net or hostingmatters.com

Thanks for your response. The customer support promised me the world....

Price range doesn't really concern me too much, 30-70 a month is fine. Most important thing is that it has to be reliable. My business depends on it. No downtime over 1-2 hrs, email has to be up, CSR can't be a pain in the ass.... not too much to ask for rt?

I read a lot of bad post regarding both company as well... maybe that PC Magazine review was biased...

So I added another one to my list for consideration

ValueWeb - seems to have mixed review
Interland - bunch of bad review, but a public company
Lunarpage - seems like lots of user on this board recommend this one....

anyone else that has experience with these?
