Standard Hosting / Server Plans

Hi!

It all depends on what you mean, you can use the same packages to start with, but as I know, many people make new packages specifically for reselling.

Hello,

Depends on your budget and how hands-on you want to be.

Reselling is easier to start lower cost, no need to manage hardware-servers yourself, and you can launch fast using a provider's infrastructure.

Your own standard plans (buying VPS/dedicated and building your own packages) gives more control and better margins long-term, but needs more technical know-how and in advance investment.

Most people starting out begin with reselling, then move to their own infrastructure once they have steady customers and better understand what packages actually sell.

With reselling part , it's observed , prices and products do often change and it gets difficult to match with those. There needs to be some kind of way out of this,if you keep standard plans for servers / hosting.

Believe the best solution to start with is VPS and the opportunity to upgrade to dedicated server. Don't forget that backups are essential to save your data. And also make sure that your databases are also being backed up not only your files. Ask the hosting provider about his backup policy.

Before settling on a VPS, it pays to check how the provider handles recovery and support. From my experience with hostpro.com, daily backups of all services allow you to restore data after damage, failed updates, or hacking. Their support staff is qualified and on duty 24/7, assisting with any question free of charge.

Do you own HostPro?
The way you type tells me you own them.

For a new web-hosting business, reseller hosting is usually the easier starting point. The provider manages the server, while you focus on customers, pricing and support.

A VPS or dedicated server gives you more control, but you’re responsible for security, updates, backups and outages unless management is included.

Start with a proper reseller plan, then consider your own server when customer demand and income justify it. Check resale permissions - ordinary shared hosting may not allow reselling.
