SSL Certificate?

SSL creates an encrypted connection between your web server and your visitors' web browser allowing for private information to be transmitted without the problems of eavesdropping, data tampering, or message forgery.

Hi there,

A SSL certificate is not enough. There are many other things to consider for online transactions. The server on which you host your website has to be secure and PCI complient. You will also have to make sure that your website has no security holes, etc. Cheers!

PCI compliance is only needed where the payment is taken, so if you use Paypal then it only Paypal that needs to be PCI Complaint

Hello,

SSL certificate is only used to encrypt the data of your customers when they make a transaction. For securing transactions yes you need SSL but for securing your website you need firewall.

I would advice how SSL works that SSL Certificates can work to secure your host name and web server. SSL and Secure Certificates provide security for your website by encrypting communications between the server and the person visiting the website.

SSL certification too is having some sorts of terms and conditions. so it's better to get more knowledge on SSL certificate that whether you'll get your all purpose fulfilled or not...

Hi guys,
I have a query.

Is the SSL Certificate enough to secure a site? Well, I am planning to create a site which will have online transactions. I am not sure which option to go for securing the site for transactions. Is there any alternative for it, which is more secure ?:dknow:

Any suggestions/guidance would be appreciated.
Thank You in advance.

I understand your point, but it’s totally depends on your transaction type and method of payments.
Only SSL is not enough for securing the transactions.
