Ssd

Our (BalticServers) test data shows, that SSD disks are 15 times faster than regular SAS or SATA hard drives. Nevertheless, we can make a server with multiply SSD hards and HDD. It all depends on customer needs and budget.

The best option for a client that wants pure SSD is to opt for an SSD VPS or an SSD dedicated servers. They are very affordable and one will just pay a few dollars more than shared hosting.

In our company about 80 - 85%% new orders comes with SSD hard drives. Very fast, lower power consumption, ideal solution if just few GB's of space is needed.

There is no point in not using SSD altogether actually. It improves performance in many terms and reduces administrative time needed for server management in the process.

And end users get better performance, too if you do not overload your server. i'd say it's a win win combination for decent hosts.

We do offer SSD on all our servers BUT on our shared hosting, we do both SSD and SATA combined and the performance is great. I think the way you deploy your server and of course not over loading any server will guarantee good performance for your clients.

Yes, the most important factor is to no overload the server. This will allow keeping the server environment healthy.

SSD just adds a few extra facilities. Such as you can allocate more resources per cPanel account on a 'pure' SSD server.

SSD won't come to prizes of HDD soon, but it's more and more popular because is new developing technology and SSD's are getting faster and faster. We use them in our systems too.RAID also.
