i just signed up with site5 and i am already pissed off.. they claim to have 24/7 customer support yet i havent gotten a single response from these people all day.. ive tried everything.. the only response i got was in their forum one of their guys told me to not post my problem in another thread.. what a joke

this is the only response i got from their customer service in 9 and a half hours

"You are not being ignored, I am currently trying to find the status of your ticket. However, if you wish I'll stop my efforts"

u can always tell when a company is owned by a kid

Im pretty sure it is not owned by a kid. It is owned by Matt lIghtner and someone else, who are both atleast 25. I highly doubt that was them on the other end of the live help, but you never know.

May be the support rep (employee of site5) who handled your ticket is not as proffessional as he should have been.

15 is a kid. 25 is an adult.

So far we have seen you portray Site5 as an Evil company. Matt and his team, to my knowledge, have respectable status and reputation within the industry.

Could you please post the screenshots of your tickets, especially the one where you received this statement: "You are not being ignored, I am currently trying to find the status of your ticket. However, if you wish I'll stop my efforts." I would like to see what has made a technical support representative to respond that way.

Also, what is the URL that you host with Site5?

Thank you.

Best,

25 is not a child yes ill go with that but to me anyone in their 20s is still what ide call a kid and im sure many others would too..

but anyways im not saying theyre evil.. they just have pretty bad customer service or a few bad employees.. when it takes 9 and a half hours to get a response.. and that was not a response to my ticket.. that was just a response to a post of mine in their forum.. i figured nobody was looking at the thread anymore so i posted in a completely different section of the forum.. heres the private messages..

so obviously i am being seen just completely ignored... ok then thats all i needed to know.

You are not being ignored, I am currently trying to find the status of your ticket. However, if you wish I'll stop my efforts.

if its that obvious to him that i posted again about the same problem then he obviously was reading them and knew what was going on and didnt do anything about it.. if something is difficult and u cant fix it right away thats completely understandable.. but u dont just ignore the person in the mean time.. u send them a message and let them know its gonna take a while... but apparently that wasnt the case.. they were either ignoring me or theyre just incompetent.

either way im just letting u guys know what im gong through so u can decide for yourselves.. maybe this was just unfortunate that i ran into these people right away.. maybe i wont have anymore problems.. hopefully that will be the case.. im sure most other webhosts out there r a lot worse.. the whole time i was searching forums for a good webhost all i could think about is how no matter who i end up going with there will most likely be problems.. like any companies u sign up with...

Best,

I agree with Artashes with regards to a 25 year old being considered an adult. Not sure why you'd suggest that a 25 year old is a "kid".

Satnone, while the reply you received from tech support appears to be unprofessional and inappropriate, I have to wonder what precipitated it. So as Artashes has already requested, can you please post a screenshot of your ticket (including the message you submitted prior to that reply)?

As you know, there are always 3 sides to a story - your side, their side, and the truth. ;)

the whole pm conversation is in my last post.. theres really nothing else to it.. if u want u can search the forum and read my posts on the thread.. bottom line is i was ignored.

i wouldnt call an adult "child" or a child "adult" but depending on what the person is like i might call them a kid no matter what the age.. most likely not if theyre over 30 though.. but u never know haha

satnone do you currently have a domain name that is hosted with this comany? Do you have proof to show us?

Tim,
Thank you for showing us the screenshot. It is true that he said that, but he might of thought you were getting frustrated with him and just didn't care anymore.

wow.. ok then.. a bit of trouble but ok.. not sure why u guys r all so defensive of some company..
Thank you for the sceenshots.

We're not defending the company or anyone from Site5, rather helping you seem more credible in your complaint. :)

satnone, as already stated, we are not just jumping to the defense of a particular company. In hosting forums, it is common to see host-bashing threads, so naturally we will want (and expect) to see the OP substantiate his claims. It just makes sense.

Yes, you had to wait a number of hours to receive a reply from support. And yes, you received a flippant and inappropriate PM from a service rep. So I can see why you would be upset. However, I fail to see the logic behind posting this thread.

Let me preface by saying I have no allegiance, friendship or affiliation with site5. So my thoughts are untainted and are my own.

If I had signed up with a host and experienced a delay with support, I would try to solve it on my own first. I would submit a support ticket, and I would try to call them. I would also keep in mind that this is the biggest US Holiday weekend of the year, and perhaps that might reflect in support time responses. Although, to be fair, they do claim 24/7/365 support.

I don't know about you, but it just seems over-reactive to create a bashing thread after a 9 hour wait for a support query. Are you that intolerant that you feel the need to publicly slam a provider after every single hiccup?

Anyways, good luck with your site, whoever you end up with...

i did solve the problem.. i did open a ticket.. i even had to open another one as i was told by one of their forum guys... but i think if u read my posts u would have known that and yeah i dont have a lotta patience with companys that offer services cause u always get a little bit to a whole lot less than what u pay for.. another thing is when i sign up for any kinda sevice and the very first time i need some support and i go through something like this.. yes i will get pissed off cause considerring the time ive been with them that makes about 100 percent of their service crap so far for me.. if u dont understand what im saying think a little bit more.. anyways im pretty much done with this thread already my problem was solved a day ago and hopefully i wont have anymore

not sure what the point of this last response was u probably should read this thread a little closer.. as for the first 2 guys.. no prob.. u seem to have some common sence..

by the way nice try on the whois haha my names actually andrew..

later

I can read, thanks. Perhaps you should shelf your hostility for a minute and try to understand what others are saying as well. My point is that maybe you should try to solve a problem on your own first, rather than prematurely jumping to start a bash thread. Seems to be an unfortunate trend in hosting forums.
