Should we use original info to register domains?

I have a very common and general doubt on domain registration. During registration process, we have been asked to enter our name & address info.

Is it safe to enter the original info?
Is it possible to occur any kind of problems because of this?
Can't we just use some false info there? (name & address)

Yes you should use the correct information. But you can easily get a private whois for your domian name which will increase the safety for you.

You need to use the correct info. One of my registered domains was almost blacklisted because I didn't enter the correct whois info.

It's a common concern, but with any decent spam filter, most of that is weeded out.

Have you guys been spammed just coz ur email ID was exposed on the WhoIs lookup?
I mean there are several plaves from where, one can get your Email Id or # no. ?

Of course!:rolleyes2 But, you can always block any of them that get through the spam filters.

If you're buying from a reliable & reputed registrar I don't think you'll have any problem.

The why do people worry so much on having hteir Email Ids being exposed on the whois search?

You should use your real info, if you are worried about it then you can get private whois which will hide your info. Some registrars give it for free others charge for it.
