Search Engine Optimization - Have you tried it?

Has anyone here tried the Search Engine Optimization companies that say they improve your rank on search engines so you get a target market and well placed on the results?

I have seen so many of these sites but I dont know anyone that has ever used them.
Most of them I have seen about through spam sent to a webmaster/ceo etc. email account at a site I own so those are mass spammers...

Wonering if any of the companies are any good, if you have tried them or heard about them or if they are just a waste of money

I have not tried any of them, just doing kinda like you, trying to find out who used them and how they worked for them..

How do you find it? Does it do anything for you that you've noticed?
