Rules for Sites With Affiliate Links

Just seeking some clarity on the rules for references to hosting reviews and comparison sites.

I understand the rules for no affiliate links in signatures - in fact linking directly from a blog is against most affiliate programs companies TOS.

I have just finished putting together a big searchable database of hosting services - all of them affiliate links - and no not all the usual suspects of $100 per sign on - I have the UK2 companies a few of the EIG companies and a fair few independents - oh yeah and now GoDaddy has picked up media temple a couple of the godaddy group.

Would I be breaking the rules putting a reference to this in my signature?

Can I refer to the link in posts - if relevant to the thread and not being spammy and annoying.

Crypto, thank you for asking.

Posting links to your website within a discussion (if the discussion isn't directly about your own business) is considered solicitation and is against the rules.

You can, however, post a link to your website in your signature space.

Affiliate links, as you correctly noted, are not allowed anywhere on HostingDiscussion.com
