Reseller Accounts

I decided to configure some low cost reseller accounts. I should have done this long ago. Several years back when I operated a different hosting company I offered them and people like them for the convenience when they are starting. I remember that is how I started also.

It's great you're going back to something that worked well before. It's always nice to offer that kind of support, especially knowing that’s how you got started, too.

It's easy to forget some services are still useful to a lot of people once you no longer need them. Sometimes I wonder if anyone still needs reseller accounts, but that's just when enough time passes that you forget how you first started. Do you get more users asking for the reseller accounts now than the regular ones?

This is so true!

We have one brand that has a lot of resellers. Most of them build web sites for their friends, family and/or customers.

There is always a need for Reseller accounts if you are looking for a fully managed environment at a low cost.

You don't have to worry about maintaining a server and it's services. The downside of a Reseller plan is that you are limited to what that Shared server has to offer and their restrictions they have in place (Be it upload size/Inode restrictions/mail restrictions/resource restrictions and so forth).

A Reseller plan is a great "jump off point" to provide hosting services to others at a low cost before moving up to something more robust such like a Cloud/VPS/Dedicated environment which allows you to do pretty much anything you wish!

t's good to see you go back to your roots!.

That's true! Many hosting businesses start small with reseller accounts, and it’s good to see how some proven strategies still hold strong over time. Stability and support always matter in the long run.

We have a few web designers that offer webhosting for their clients and require reseller. While we never offered it publicly it's something we're still looking at as well.
