After 6 months of development, on October 1st 2012 GBHouse officially launched their latest project, Rage4.
Rage4 is a radical new approach to global DNS hosting. Unlike many other DNS services, Rage4 works on a pay-as-you-go billing model, which means that users only pay for real usage. Every domain, which uses Rage4, receives 250,000 free requests per month. It's only after you exceed this figure that you will be required to part with any money.
Keeping simplicity in mind, Rage4 has been designed to encompass all users, regardless of skill, with their extremely user-friendly interface. During the beta period, members of the LowEndBox community, a server discussion forum, helped test, and ultimately approve, Rage4.
Rage4 operate their own anycast network, which is currently spread across 12 global Points of Presence (PoP) including Chile and Hong Kong. By utilizing the GeoDNS feature, Rage4 allows you to decrease latency times and increase download speeds to your users by serving the traffic to them from the nearest server in the Rage4 Network.
In partnership with UptimeRobot, Rage4 can also track when something goes wrong with your server and automatically adjust the DNS configuration. They also give users access to an API, which allows integration of their service with any third party solution. A cpanel module and a set of SDK's are currently being developed.
