What do you think of perldesk, i've just installed it......im quite proud because cgi and i dont normally get on, but thats beside the point.
How many of you use it?

I use it too. I also don't mix well with Perl scripts and have installed it myself just yesterday. Do you (or anyone else) know how to use that email to department feature?

I love Perl Desk! We've been using it for several months and are very happy with it.

Kevin, are you referring to email piping? There's some good info on the old forums over at Perl Desk pertaining to features, setup, and email piping. The link below pertains to piping.

I replied to this in annother forum but ill put it in here anyway:

Dont like perl as its too clunky, and your better off with a php-based helpdesk :)

Our site uses PerlDesk. I was also evaluating TicketSmith but didn't find that full featured or nice looking :)

We are currently evaluating PHPManager as well as ModernBill if I can I would integrate my help desk system with my customer relation system, as when creating a new account I hate having to log into PerlDesk afterwards and create the same account for the user.

But maybe I can just write an auto script that will put the user information into PerlDesk when they signup hmmmmm....

I use perldesk and have nothing but praise for it. I've used phpsupportdesk but it has some underlying e-mailing problems and until its fixed I will NOT use it!

Hello,
I really don't like Perl Desk :(. Perl is not my thing and hoping to get Kayoka support help desk ;)
Thanks

we've been using for about 2 years now, very very happy. The email piping is great. Even my semi-illiterate user have it figured pretty easy.
