Oh do I regret yesterday night

Just got to work and boy am I not wanting to be here right now. I am still drunk from last night. Myself and 2 friends went to the bar after our last exam last night. Dropped $280 on liquor ($3 per shot and $7 per long island). Then a little adult entertainment to top it off. I ended up going to bed at 4:30am... had to be at work at 8:00am.... ouchy


Anyone else done this stuff before?
 
Only every weekend - Apart from the "adult entertainment" 😉

Sometimes I go out for a quick drink, then it turns into me coming home pretty late and falling asleep in the most weird places.

Luckily for me I don't really get hangovers though - I think its my gift 😀

I cant even remember the number of times I went out, got up the next day, and was still really drunk...You wouldn't believe how drunk you can still be after a full sleep.

I always get something to eat before, and when, Im drinking now though, really helps for the next morning 😉
 
I guess that being the only person here under 18 (which I know of) I'm probably the only one who has not done this. I have actually never touched alcohol or smoke, although 90% of my school does.

I've always been amused by American society's War on Drugs in the 1980s, and the lessening social tolerance for smokers of any type...which directly preceded the huge coffee boom and the start of the Starbuck's chain.

The one time I got a hangover was from a non-alcoholic Beck's. We were meeting a friend who'd just come back from a six-month job in Thailand, and he just *had* to get out of the house. He met us for ribs, we headed over to a bar, and stayed there until about 3. He urged us all to have some champagne with him, and when I ordered my traditional orange juice (looks like it could be a screwdriver, so doesn't weird out the drinking patrons any), my friend said, "Aaah, c'mon - just one drink! Something celebratory. Get a non-alcoholic beer."

Hm, I thought. No alcohol to mix with my anticonvulsant medication and really mess me up. And it will make my buddy happy.

I was 3/4 of the way through the non-alcoholic beer when I noticed the small text which told me that this non-alcoholic beer...wasn't, really. .5% alcohol content.

Whups.

I stuffed myself with corn chips in an attempt to sponge up the beer I'd drunk. It didn't quite work. Hangover the next two days, two seizures during, and seizure aura for nearly two weeks. (Felt mildly to very dizzy - a bit like running a fever.)

I still haven't quit razzing my buddy.

Vovex, have you tried drinking extra water to flush your system out?
 
Yeah today has been painfull... started to sober up right around noon. But I am still exhausted. I ate 3 bagels for breakfast to absorb some liquor and I have had close to a gallon of water to try flush it all out. I think I'll live, but I am definately not doing that again for a long long time.


Fatal: I didnt know I was going out to do all that last night... I thought it was just gonna be a few beers and maybe a couple games of pool... funny how woman and alcohol and persaude you to do other wise.
 
all you need to prevent a hangover is lots and lots of sleep. 🙂 works like a charm.

yea, totally sucks you had work the next day.

google, props to you for not touching alcohol or anything else. i dont think there are many people that can say that lol. and youre under 18, how old are you?

Well I just had one of these days during the weekend 🙄

Went out on Saturday and had 4 or 5 pints when I was playing pool in a bar.
Went home and was getting ready to go out (Birthday in the family) and had a few glasses of vodka and white.
When I went out I had one pint in a bar that just opened, then I went out somewhere else, and I honestly don't have any idea what I was drinking...But I do know that I got really drunk, I don't remember most of the night from I left the first bar and was drinking until 4am

Got up the next day at noon and almost fell into the wall when I stood out of the bed, didn't expect to be drunk at all but I still didn't sober up
until about 3-4pm :beathim:

Luckily I didn't feel sick all day, didn't really have a hangover any time either which was pretty lucky considering I drunk so much.

I always get a big meal before I go out, eatting a good meal really helps prevent a hangover the next day.
Drinking milk does the same, it lines your stomach.

There are a million things that are meant to prevent a hangover, taking a lot of sugar is another. The sugar is meant to help break down the alcohol in your system, although it doesn't change the effect of drinking.

I had a good night but would have been even better if I could remember it all 🙄
