need advice about hosting web

It depends on your target visitors basically. If you want them from your local country (Australia in this case), go for a local hosting company. Otherwise, you can use services from any of your choice.
 
Many companies from Australia, Japan, Europe host their sites and servers in the US. The cost is lower, the speed of managing the server is the same if you have a high speed internet connection at your home or office. There really isnt any drawbacks unless you need physical hands on to the equipment.

Another good option that I completely forgot to mention. Online ones are pretty easy to use and most importantly, they are cheap.

Dealing with the webhost having local servers locally has good advantageous, Provided your webhost or the datacenter is fully comprised of the infrastructure needed :smash: .
 
You should go for secure servers. Most of the people prefer USA servers, as these are the most secure servers. If your local provider is providing you that much security and full support, you can opt them as your provider.

The main thing in hosting service is 24x7 support and the server up time that effects sites speed and performance so that your site will not be down.

I do not question that the company you are recommending can be indeed good, but we need to verify that.
What is the URL of your website that you host with the company? Preferably, the domain name whois email matching the one you have here on this forum.
