Name server question.

Hi all,

I just recently purchase a reseller account which I'm glad to say I found right here. I wanted to change the name servers to my domain for obvious purposes. I had no idea what steps to go through, but after some searching I found the solution.

I have my domain registered at goDaddy and added the host names pointing to the shared IP of the server. Seems to work so far :)

I registered 4 name servers NS1 to NS4.

In my WHM I changed NS1 and NS2 to the new registered NS.

My question is, should I change all 4 in my WHM and in my goDaddy account where you set the nameservers?

Right now, both have only the 2.
What would be the advantage of 4 if any?

Advantage of 4 named servers is reliability and scaling.
But that only applies if you actually have 4 named servers on at least 2 or more separate servers.

So in case one or two of your servers go down , you still have other four.
 
Four will be more reliable ,secure and fast. The more name server they have ,the less burden each server will be allotted
 
Do not forget to CLUSTER the DNS!!! This helps a lot.... If you cluster now, then the next sever you get also name NS5 and NS6....
