Live Chat Software

Have been using Crafty Syntax Live Help for quite a while now. However, have discontinued the live chat...and use it more for tracking as to who is online at three websites with one user interface. Serves our purpose.
Wow, never heard of them. Glad to see that the solution is working for you. Why did you discontinue the live chat?

Had a few rude users who came on .... and to be honest, looked upon the facility as more of a hinderance to us than of any benefit.

Yeah, I was testing live chat and like CraftySyntax but I'm going to take the link off and use it as prhost mentions to monitor realtime who is on and such.

He said helpcenterlive, I'm not aware of two products with the same exact name :) We'll let him answer I guess.

You're right...guess what he was saying was :

1. Cerberus livehelp is one of the best.

2. For tracking purposes...HCL (what is available through Fantastico) is easier to use than CSLH

Yeah I had gotten that from the beginning, I'm not as dumb as I look :p

My comments were that hcl was free, based on correcting this statement from prhost:

Have not tried helpcenterlive mainly because the one time fee is in excess of three hundred.

Another vote for Cerberus Livehelp. I like the fact that it is cross platform, Linux, Windows, Solaris, MacOS and has unlimited agents:)

Definitely a good choice. PM me if you would like to see a live demo to get a feel of what your customers will go through. It has the Windows XP feel and is very simply to install / use.

I'm currently using Kayako's LiveResponse after moving from Help Center Live. The HCL WinAPP starting acting up for me, so I decided to move over to LiveResponse, which has always gotten rave reviews. It certainly does not posess some of the great features as other programs, but I still like the software. I will be happy to see the new version with a WinAPP officially release by Kayako .... using the web-based chat script can be annoying at times. Good program, however, definitely worth the $34.95 bundle fee I pay monthy for it and eSupport together.
