Yes, it's a must!

If you don't display the actual physical address of your business, at least have your business mailing address on your website.

To me, and probably many others I'm sure, merchants/companies without some type of address are a big red flag and I would not do business with them, as they are usually up to no good.

I agree. Physical address is important on your website. It even confirms your existence.
But the real question here is : why do you want to hide it from your website ?

monhosteur some do that cause they don't come from a "well seen" and trustful country, so they have 2 choices: either write your address and be prepared to be avoided by some clients
or not write it and get avoided by other clients;
It's owners choice I guess ...

I've never thought of it like that, interesting. I can see why some clients would not do business with some countries, though. I for one, do not do business with anyone based/located in Iran..

I think a brick and mortar address significantly adds to the trust factor in know, like and trust. :D

Depending on where you live, there may be customer protection laws that require all distance selling providers to identify themselves completely (including address, registration numbers etc.) on your site.

You must have at least one business address on your website. It will show that you are a trustful person to make a business deal.

Physical address is important to be pasted on web site as it confirms that you are a genuine company to your visitors. Result will be a better trust.

Yes, it approves you're an actual company not "virtual". I think people will not purchase if they can't find such information.

"Hostloc", it is important but not mandatory. If you have live chat and telephonic support and provide them on your website.

Many customers will not look for physical address.

I would say it's necessary; besides, wouldn't it be on your invoices if it's not on your site? Pretty sure you must have it on your invoices for biz. tax. purposes.

If physical addresses were not mandatory then there would be a lot of people opening multiple accounts for fraudulent reasons and it would be hard to track them etc

You should have the address of your data center and/or the address of your office. Not a "Home" address.

But the thing is that new hosts don't have business offices yet as they don't have a need for one. There are many reliable hosts that are 1 man operations run out of their home.

You must have pasted at least one business address on your website, it is proves that you are a real company and your customers and visitors can trust you to make a business deal.

Some prospective clients might not look for a physical address but certainly some will. By not having a physical address on your website you are turning away potential clients.
