I need WHM/CPanel help please

Hello,

I am new to having a dedicated server. I recently got one and have been reading everything i can with cpanel/whm and can't get an answer to just a few questions. I am hoping someone here will be kind enough to help me.

1. I have had several reseller account before so i know this can be done. When i set up a reseller account and then login to the whm for that new account. i go to set up all the packages. Then when i go to add a account anc choose the package it shows me all the packages for that reseller plus my personal packages for my hosting business. When i had my reseller accounts it was never like this. I know there is somewhere to turn this off i just can't find it. i only want the packages the reseller sets up to be visable to them.

You want to make sure that in the Reseller Center you select "Limit accounts _____ can create by Resource Usage. It tells you that:
Access to packages the user creates is automatically granted unless account creation has been limited to pre-assigned packages above. Access is not automaticlly granted to system/root created packages unless specifically defined below

Not a problem. Most, if not all of us here are very friendly and willing to help with anything you need. Its a great place to share and gain knowlege and I hope that you will stick around.
 
or if your account packages are named "root_packagename" where "root" is the username of reseller/host and "packagename" is the name of the package only that user will be able to see those packages.
 
Tic those boxes

:dance: Pick a reseller! Click on ...privileges...! Tic the boxes and only those pertaining to that reseller! That's another way of doing it. :dance:
