I hate webhostingtalk

Very helpful BUT rigid and unwilling to accept when they get something wrong

There is more than 1000+ registration per day approx on WHT.
Some of them are spammer or something like that ,some of them are real account.

How can they know who is spammer and who is real? They are blocking 100+ accounts per days for this.Maintaining such a forum is not a matter of joke.

NOT always, they banned me for informing others of a clear scammer and fraudster ( i gave them the evidence) yet this scammer/fraudster is still a member.

I am a very active member on wht love to just lurk the forums and read as much topics as I can but I have to agree with what some of you said above on how it is over there.

As for op wht help desk is and was always helpful I'm sorry to hear that they were giving you and your friend a hard time.

P.a nothing is better than hosting discussion. This place is my sanctuary.

You haven't really explained what happened to you yet, just that you hate their policy. Did you recommend a company you are affiliated with? I doubt they would just ban you (if that is what happened) for no reason.

They merged my account with a bunch of others. Including one owned by a woman with a completely different name. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
Hence - why I hired someone to post for me. Despite my many attempts for them to reverse their decision.

My case was similar to yours ONLY that in our case both of us were banned.

Oh so you come across him too, he was also a Mod on the WHMCS forum and would pull me down at every chance he got on their, but the poor thing was removed as a WHMCS mod when they partnered with cpanel

He's had it at me for ages because I "slate" whmcs, even though I never did in the threads I posted in and I never even shown my signature lol. But yeah he raged at me on the helpdesk and said "consider this my last warning". I think I said on one thread "I need some more bear traps" :shh:

I purchased one company and my involement was just the parent company, i let other run it. they had a WHT account which he 'bear' banned just because i owned the parent company and nothing else. He then demands that the guy who was running the business send him copies of his driving licence and passport etc. to prove he was not me and yet the company never listed on any part of his site it was owned by me. Naturally i told the guy not to send him anything like that. The only way he would have know i owned the business was though a whois on the domain, but how did he figure it out unless he does a daily check on my name to see if i have other domains, which i would say is harrassment

they even ask why not register under real name, but he was forget that he is using nick name instead of real name too.

WHT was getting around 80-85 registrations per day on average.

I think that before because i see less peoples login now. Right now is 80 Member login last year was like 1,000 people login. Some how they losing clients :)

I feel that their policies regarding user information are a bit on the far side of things. They could use a more lax policy and more high tech procedures to stop spam or malware.

I am not sure what that means. WHT always had a very active team of moderators, so spam was never a problem. In fact, they have always been so quick that I've never even come across a single spam post. Given I haven't been participating there in a while, has it changed?

Me too have a similar experience Due to certain identity issue i was banned I sent my ID proof But no reply Problem is that they are not giving proper reason keeping me away and no more responses most sad I ve not got an intimation that I am banned but I can't get in to my account

hmm, I've made a number of recommendations over the past 10+ years I've been there, outside ad forums. Never run into an issue there.

I don't agree with a few of their policies, but can't say I've run into any major issues over the past few years. Then again, I haven't been as active as I was when I started, either ;)

I always report and it's gone within a few hours. With the level of publicity of that place, yeah, you gotta expect that people will try.

I can imagine what it is like there, because here at HD we've gone through great lengths to monitor for spam activity, with multiple methods used to protect the community. Unfortunately too many forums have fallen to shills and spammers signing up, some of whom is not easy to weed out. Experience is certainly the key advantage in keeping things straight.
