Well, I like to think of that "Other Place" to still be a great place. Rules are strict, Infractions are easy to obtain but I feel as if its simply because the quantity of members on it. I'm sure their moderators and 'Community Leaders' have their hands full deleting obvious spam, shill reviews, enforcing signature law, etc, etc.
Although the mods are all human, so just explain to them your situation. While I enjoy this place, the other place is also a great resource for information and receiving quick answers to immediate questions.
