how to prevent ddos attack

Are you currently under a DDOS attack? You can not really prevent a DDOS attack just prepare for one. The easiest way to do this is to use a service called Cloudflare to reroute the bad data to a dead end and the good data to your website. There are other methods but it could get expensive.

It all depends:
1) if it's WEB - there're one methods
2) if it's GAME - other methods
3) if it's the whole server - one more type of methods

Specify, please. Because it can vary from DDoS protected server to CDN.

An explanation to this question would need to get into a lot of details. If you are a server administrator with enough experience you wouldn’t have asked this. So whatever it is you should need to find a way to pay a server administrator to help you.

Few of the options to prevent DDOS attack are by using firewall / using mod evasive (apache module) / using external filtering IPs / using external firewalls.

Are you administrator? Install CSF! If you are not , then try to find a hoster with Full DDOS Protection.

1. Get a DDOS protected server. That's not a big deal.
2. If possible buy cloudlinux.
3. Use Cloudflare for DNS. Free or Premium.

This is basic steps.

Because of the regularity of DDoS attacks almost all serious hosts now offer DDoS protection. If you dont want to go into the techie techie just procure servers from providers who offer protection. You may also make use of Cloudfare.

CloudFlare is a great resource, but it won't stop all DDoS attacks. It surely does help though.

DDoS attacks are on the rise, so it's better to be proactive and get provider protection upfront rather than wait and be reactive to attacks.

You have to make some determination of how valuable your online data is to your business.

Now a days almost all providers providing the hosting services with DDOS Protection in order to protect from DDoS attacks which attacks regularly, so while buying any services just make sure that your providers providing the Protection from such attacks & even try to have Cloudflare. so that you can avoid such problems.

DDOS is the kind of technology to make you burn money. therefore, not really good option to buils own antiddos, just go ahead with antiddos provider. You may visit blacklotus, our company using their antiddos solution

More and more DDoS attacks are happening every month.
The domains and companies that get targeted are just as often small family businesses as large financial institutions.

1st. If you are choosing a shared host, one of the most important things to look for is CloudLinux.
CloudLinux won't help you much if your site is under attack, but it will limit other sites on your server, who are under attack, from affecting you.
Remember you are 1 of 500+ sites, so any of the 500 other sites being attacked, without CloudLinux, will also affect you.

2nd, LiteSpeed WebServer will arrest a small DDoS alone. As it's thread based rather than process based, it's easier for the server to spot and block/ignore malicious IPs.
So this will really help if you or any other site is under attack.
LiteSpeed is uses less CPU and memory to perform the same tasks, so is affected less by DDoS activities.

3rd, some kind of DDoS Protection, hardware or Software.

4th, a WAF to stop anything getting through the IP stack from running any code.

It is really going to depend on the type of attack and how large it is. Are you currently / was recently under attack? If so, if you can provide (ask your provider if unsure) the level of attacks and such, it'll be easier to recommend you with some solutions.

However just a note, DDoS attacks can be very expensive to handle properly.

Go with a web hosting company which offers ddos protection. This is the best way to stay safe in case of ddos but these companies usually charge higher than normal prices.

There's no way of preventing it only ways to handle it. If your experiencing ddos I suggest hiring a server administrator to help with that or switch hosts to a more reliable hist who offer ddos protection services. Cloud flare is good to use too but just like any software or product on earth it has its ups and downs but in the end it works and gets the job done

Hi friends how can I prevent DDOS attack ,I can not pay highly paid softwares

Hey
You can't really prevent it
All you can is to use a hoster providing hardware defense from DDoS attacks (and you can suddenly figure out that it not as good as they say it in their advertisings!)
Or you can use CloudFlare yourself, and it can be your only and best option at this moment.

CloudFlare is definitely an awesome tool in a DDoS attack situation BUT I must tell you its insufficient on its own. I must agree however that it lessens the effect a great deal

Cloudeflare is a great solution , but it is better to choose a provider who has DDos Protection.
