How do you do your payments?

Payment by Credit Card is the way to go. The reason for this is because from what Ive seen at other hosting companies, payment by money order/check can cause dissention between the customer and the hosting provider. This is especially true during a customers' renewal time.

If for some reason the hosting company does not receive the check/money order before the customers' renewal date, they will shut down the site which in turn makes customers angry causing dissention between the hosting provider and the customer.

1st.. Credit card, 2nd.. Paypal, 3rd.. Check/MO/Cash

If you're/they're a legit business it really doesn't matter. I'd personally rather people pay me by Check/MO/Cash just to avoid the fees. There are still quite a few people who don't trust their CC online(some for good reason, but that's another post entirely). So whatever works for you.

I think The methods of payment which are accepted depend on each individual host. Almost everybody accepts credit cards such as Visa and MasterCard. Vast majority of plans require periodic (usually monthly up to yearly) payments.

Accepting credit cards directly on your site is also very important if you want to be taken seriously and look professional.
If you're accepting credit cards directly on your site (card info on your server), then be sure to be PCI compliant.

We use PayPal, 2CO and for local clients mail-in payment, although we much prefer electronic payments. In our experience PayPal has always provided us with great service and no problems.

If you are paying to a company paypal is the best if you are a company and using paypal as payment it really ............ i had never seen such a worst payment gateway for a company to be used, it is like we are at their mercy for payments.

My suggestion is for credit/debit cards to be the mode of payment...from what I've seen at working at other hosting companies, payment by money order/check/Paypal can cause dissention between the customer and the hosting provider. This is especially true during a customers' renewal time. If for some reason the hosting company does not receive the check/money order before the customers' renewal date, they will shut down the site which in turn makes customers angry causing dissention between the hosting provider and the customer. Hosting companies wish to avoid this and find that it is much more efficient to accept payment via credit/debit card.

Paying by credit card is the most popular choice. There is usually an automatic renewal charge once your billing cycle is up too. That way you don't have to worry about anything....except for having enough money in the bank, ready for that automatic charge ;)

I try to pay anything on the web using PayPal since it's secure and I hate providing my CC/Bank info everytime I want to purchase something online.

Our clients payments are also processed by PayPal, whether it's from a debit card, credit card or echeck.

I usually accept paypal and credit cards for new orders. Money orders would also be accepted but not preferred for new signups only for renewals. This helps you obtain a domain name and not lose it.

We have been using Paypal, 2checkout, credit card as web bassed payment mode for accepting payments in $ and ccavenue for collecting payments in Indian Rupees.

However, our local Indian Customers also use Demand drafts and cheques for one year payments, if they are willing to pay in Indian Rupees.

I mostly used paypal with any payment transactions. It is much widely used online.I see some using credit cards or money bookers for an immediate payment.
