HD is boring...

But don't worry, I'm actually leaving a couple of other forums behind this year (not going to mention their names), which in my point of view have been a waste of my time thus far.. So, you'll be seeing more quality posts from me here on HD this year.

^ Just wanted to mention to everyone that I did not pay him to say that.

Happy to hear that, Juan!

Yes, HostLeet is going on 4 years now (this coming up July).. And growing more each year! (Thank God) :D

I've just been so busy this past year with the Kids, the wife, the business, and everything else in between... I honestly don't know how I even managed to make time for this post! :P

HostLeet runs a tight ship and I look forward to his posts here when I visit.

Hosting Discussion is still the first forum I visit every morning, followed by at least a dozen others.

I like the design. So no need to change the design/layout, IMO. And it seems the forum is doing well.

Could easily get more members posting regularly by just cutting the limits down a little (25 posts in 2 forums/being active for x number of days) but then you may attract more kiddie hosts/spammy posts.

All is good, IMO. :)

Thanks for your feedback.

By the way, even with 25 posting requirement we still run into spam-loving-kiddie hosts. Unfortunately for them, and unlike other hosting forums, HostingDiscussion is superbly moderated so they have ZERO chance to pull a fast one.

Also there are probably not many users signing up due to them being able to view the content as a guest. Because of that they don't need to signup to view information.

You could limit the amount of information to guests so they're forced to signup to view all of the information, but some may not like that, and it could have impact on search engine rankings.

But the members/content on the forum is already good.

I say leave things as they are and just give it time for more good members to signup.

All in good time.

Thanks, Steve!

That really means a lot coming from you. :D

I think slowly but surely others are realizing the difference between Hosting Discussion and the rest of the forums out there. It's just a totally different mood/vibe in here, much more friendly and comfortable (IMHO). Like Steve said I too can't wait to check the forum every morning, and continue to do so throughout the rest of the day. I have to agree with Artashes, this forum is by far one of the best moderated forums I've ever seen. :agree:

You kind of answered your own question there. :D

I would just add that having an empty no-activity account has no value to us. Everyone benefits more if the content stays open and free for anyone with an Internet connection.

i just joined and i see tons of information here on HD. i wouldn't say such words because it is such a resourceful successful community here. i see potential in hosting discussion.
