Have you seen more VPS orders for VPN use lately?

Have you noticed an increase in customers ordering VPS mainly to run their own VPN over the last couple of years?
We’ve been seeing this more often. Another thing that comes with it is customers asking to change their IP after some time, because the original IP starts getting detected or blocked by different services as VPN/proxy traffic.
The problem is that IPv4 addresses are not unlimited, so constantly replacing IPs for the same use case is obviously not a sustainable solution.
Curious if other providers are seeing the same trend, and how you handle these IP change requests.

Yes, it is, I think for the most part it has to do with Russia and their eternal blockages. Personally, I can say that such orders have grown not just in the last couple of years, but insanely strongly in the last couple of months. You can receive such requests almost every day.

Yeah, that use case seems to be coming up more often. For a lot of people, a small VPS is enough, they mainly want the location and their own IP.

Yes, more people are buying a VPS for their own VPN. The problem is that many websites block datacenter IPs, and IPv4 addresses are limited, so changing IPs again and again does not work long-term.

In Simple: allow one free IP change, then charge for more. Also offer IPv6 if you can.
