Hackers Break in to Moniker, Melbourne IT, Name.com and Xinnet

Interesting - looks like the only place currently reporting on this event with any of the above mentioned places is this one news article at domainnamenews.com - wonder where everyone else is!

I'll keep an eye out and see what else I can find, but it's odd that in the day of internet, especially when it comes to hacking, nobody is reporting on the event.

I wonder if this is my name.com password is not working.

Yup, they locked all passwords. You will have to wait for a reset pw email with the info of whats happened

Yeah, unfortunately bad news.

It looks like they've kept on top of things and got themselves back on track though which is always a good thing. (such as name.com).

Certainly going to be keeping an open eye for things like this though.

If I'm not mistakened Name.com was involved in something similar less then a year ago as they had to send out a mass email to their customers to reset security information, I could be incorrect though but I thought they had this happen one other time recently.
