GoDaddy vs. Hostgator

As someone who has had several clients who have used services from both companies. They are for people who are not looking for a self managed solution. They both work great for small personal sites, to larger ones but remember that the bigger the box the less personal the store.
 
from my own experience, using godaddy as hosting provider is like drinking hot salt water.

you have it, but you cannot use it.
 
Godaddy's user interface for domains is terrible in my opinion. I can't expect the hosting side of things to be any different.

Based on past reviews from a lot of Godaddy customers, I don't think I would recommend Godaddy to anyone.
