GoDaddy and HostGator

Is anyone making some money by reselling hosting packages from these two companies? I'm specifically interested in reselling domains from GoDaddy and hosting from HostGator? If it's not a secret how much do you make per month? I'm currently lousy at it.

Hi,

I have seen so many people making money through host gator, it is very tough job, but my friend used to make over 200$ per month from hostgator.

I guess it all depends how big of a site is where you advertise you reselling packages. Again, everything comes down to successful web sites.

Basically reselling depends on ones capacity and network to get clients that will determine the profits. For that matter I had heard about kvchosting which provides good services at cheaper rates so more profits.Bit getting reseller clients will ultimately depend on you.

I can only speak about HostGator since they are the only ones I've worked with. Their services are indeed amazing, and I'm talking mostly about their support. I would suggest you go with HostGator.

Good luck.

Nah JK, I've used host gator they are a really good company.

Hello
A Growth Industry
We see a lot of distraught site owners who have had their sites damaged, experienced a loss of rankings, or had data stolen.

Use Protection
Although most good hosting companies will protect their servers (and usually your site to some degree) it’s important to understand that you are responsible for your own site.

Take this analogy: You can use the strongest safe in the world, but if you leave the door open and someone empties it, you can’t blame the safe manufacturer.

Hacked Huh?
Before we offer you some simple tips, it’s worth understanding a few basics about the different kinds of hacks, their purpose and how they can affect you.

Selling reseller hosting through any company is the same, only if you know the skills to pull in customers who would sign up through your reseller accounts.
I would suggest better go with hostgator and try their affiliate program too, if you have an intention of making money through their web hosting service.

Selling reseller hosting and managing various plans, their space, bandwidth etc. is harder to maintain than just promoting their company with your referral/affiliate links, both of which can help you make money.

I'm confused, are you looking to resell or to become an affiliate? There is more money short term in being an affiliate, but long term you can make a lot more as a reseller

There two good sites, But If your looking into selling web hosting and domains try going with host gator for hosting and get a enome domain reseller..

If im not getting this right the other way you want to do it by affiliate then I say go for it.

Think that you shouldn't be so confident in choosing them, as there are many other reliable places to deal with.
The comparison will show you the best direction.

Mybe before you choose, better check thier website to know all information about a services includes the price, packages, and promotion their have...
After that, try to compare with another hosting company..

Thanksa nd hope it can help

I'll be honest with you to say that HostGator is probably much more popular for Reseller Hosting than GoDaddy. However those aren't the only option at all. I would recommend to compare them with at least 3 more web hosts and to make a choice based on quality or the support and contract, not just based on the disc space and data transfer quotas offered in the plans.

I think there's a reason why we see HostGator on every top ten webhosting review site, and it's simply because they have a better affiliate plan.

This post is not meant to be in any way shape or form bashing of Host-Gator but rather as a useful piece of information.

Many are not aware of this but Host-Gator is a reseller of The Planet. I don't mean that they are on a reseller package although they do not own their data centers. This may or may not alter your opinion about them and it's not meant to. ;)

Good luck with your hosting experience and I hope it's a good one. :)

Best Regards,

How do you know this? I know that HG uses The Planet as it's datacenter but I am quite certain that they own all of their own hardware and simply colocate there

I have a friend who works at The Planet and he has told me that although Host Gator does have multiple servers, they do use The Planets servers.

The truth of this I do believe because I've questioned this my self at one point because I had went on to Host Gator live chat and asked them if they were a reseller and they told me them self's that they are a reseller.

Best Regards,
