Data Center Technician

This position is full time and requires onsite participation at the 55 Marietta St. data center of Global Net Access.

The duties include the following main areas of responsibility:

Troubleshoot downed servers for hardware / software problems – Linux and Windows

Handle network abuse issues – communicate with proper authorities and complaint organizations and the customer to resolve issues and bring compliance to our AUP.

Build and install new server orders – includes building hardware, installing software os and control panel, configuring network, and physically mounting server in data center as well as properly documenting new server.

Communicate effectively with the customer base to present a professional and knowledgeable image of GNAX.

The technician will be trained to work in the following areas:

Basic Network administration – and troubleshooting – focus on Cisco
Linux / FreeBSD / Windows server installation and support
Computer hardware installation and support
Cpanel / Plesk support and installation
Email , web server and streaming applications.

The job pays salary commensurate with experience and comes with full benefits to include: medical / dental insurance, 401K participation and % company match, and paid vacation time.
There will be a 6 month review and a 12 month review and reviews annually thereafter.
