Why didn't you submit a not-guilty plea in court? A fine that big for 4 MPH over the limit is ridiculous.

That's how much they charge here for 1-5 over. I agree, it's completely ridiculous... but both the cops and court system here are screwed up. I had to fight my way through getting my other 5 over ticket taken care of. Both the police and the court are very anal about getting their money... that's what I get for living in the richest county in Michigan :|

Lol Vito that is really great! I have to try that sometime (not saying that I don't obey the law or anything :] ) but I would guess that you were really lucky....Actually I have never been pulled over although the speed limit is 45 and I constantly do 95 - 105 on the road accross from my house. I would completely freak out if i got pulled over =( I get very nervous around cops for some reason (no i have done nothing illegal other than speeding!)
 
Haha good one vito, when I was 15 I was riding my neighbors go kart down the street, and I lived in a rather wealthy neighborhood so cops rarely came through. One day though, I was riding my neighbors 15hp yerf dog down the side of the road. The cop actually pulled me over like it was a real car and made my parents pay $200. What an a-hole. That didn't stop me from goin 45mph and doin doughnuts though...
