I have heard about these, but I thought with the business growing that all such sites have died off. If you find any good ones, please post them. This would be very helpful in obtaining and maintaining a personal website.

Yes, there are a few of these hosting providers out there that do this, however they also put a load of adverts on your page to generate revenue for them which I dont like in my opinion. I would rather pay $0.99 and register a .info and set up my own site with my own identity.

Believe it or not, but there are actually a few free web hosts out there that will even include a free domain name with your package.

Granted, they do have some limitations on being accepted, such as how some of the hosts say that you will need to log into your web site at least once every week or month, and possibly some other things.

Also some of them will only offer a less desirable domain name such as .info, but it still is pretty nice!

Anyone else heard about these?

Honestly speaking, I am amazed if there is such company out there which offers this kind of service. We do offer a FREE Domain name, but you have to, at least, pay a minimum amount of hosting.

I second you on that...unless a company is giving out free domains as part of their ad campaign...or running a losing-business. :shaky:
