Pratik, many paid companies nowadays offer free hosting as well (most of them are ad supported) and they also have limitation on resources.

freehostia.com should be fine for you but please note that yo ucan use free web host only for pages that are not important for you. Otherwise go for a cheap paid one.

You can also search for terms like free web hosting on Google to find many free service providers, but I wonder with today's really low prices such as $5.95 a month, why you are interested in getting a free web hosting account, you know, with the limitations in running scripts and the ads displayed and the limited space and bandwidth.

The problem with some people is "getting" the funds. Yes, 2-5 bucks per a month is cheap, however is that good hosting? Also, many people using free hosts are under 18, therefore have no access to a personal credit card.
 
Yeah, but for free host, i think this is the worst choice.
They dont give you any space to uploads files.
There are much more better hosts.

I think you should opt for free web hosting, only if it is an unimportant website or something of that sort. Otherwise, it would be prudent if you opt for a paid hosting service.....there are various cheap solutions available in the market...

but obviously that wont do for a reasonably sized website...
 
I agree. Obviously you get what you pay for ... Personally, I would say get a $4.99 per month hosting account and at least you get some reputable support with it. If you want some suggestions, pleased to provide ... have tried them all (even joined one of them). Definitely worth the few dollars for peace of mind. Obviously if it doesnt matter either way, then go for freewebspace.net ...
 
I would be careful with "free" webhosting, afterall, why is it free? Is there small print included, if so I would read it. You should maybe consider using a paid host, some of them may work out to be well within your budget.
 
If you are really serious in your site work, then you shouldn't opt for any free hosting.
There are number of hosting for just one dollar. And they also give many features including more number of fantastico options. The competition has increased drastically in this field. Many hosting accounts are available for free but you have to post in their forums.
Posting=hosting account(You dont even spend a cent, so free for you)
