Completely agree here. I do know that box.net also is popular, I have used box.net and dropbox and prefer dropbox however both are good.

Getting your own VPS is also a great option, that way you have complete control and can implement your own backup system.

SugarSync has been around for longer. It is also far more superior to Dropbox in features for half the price.
